Hot Rodders for Robin

The Phillips family along with many other extended family and friends put on one hell of a car show in remembrance of their late sister Robin. Rocky Phillips, the promoter and coordinator of the Eagle Field Drags, decided to put on a car show to boost his sisters spirits and to raise some money to help with medical costs. Unfortunately about a week before the event Robin passed, but that didn’t stop the family from pressing forward with the show. Little did they know that this event would blow up the quiet town of Easton, California. Being the kind of guy Rocky is, his support system was for sure going to show up and get behind the cause. Spectators were treated to hard tops, dragsters, sand buggies, rare muscle cars, late model cars, and over 400 hot rods! Needless to say there was something for everybody. The kitchen at the CPDES Hall was hoppin. They served breakfast burritos, sloppy joes, tri-tip sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, and list goes on. It was a cool vibe throughout the day at the event. I think I speak for everybody when I say, “Bring it back next year!” I hate that a death or illness has to be one of the reasons to get these cars out but, one thing is for sure, Robin was smiling down on this event. Enjoy all the beautiful pictures from our friend, Scott Baker!
